Thank you for visiting my website and taking the time to learn about me and my background. Just the same, when we get together, my main concern is to get to know you and how my experience and training can best serve you.
I have a degree from Oklahoma Wesleyan University where I achieved a B.A. in Behavioral Sciences. I have completed extensive education in finances, insurance and counseling through Doane College, University of Nebraska at Kearney, NYLIC University and The American College. Through the years I have served on church boards and boards of charity organizations including Little Lights Preschool right here in Broken Bow. I am currently a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and have had the honor of advocating for the residents of Nebraska in Washington D. C. as a representative of NAIFA and the American Council of Life Insurers by speaking out to members of Congress and Senate.
Prior to entering the financial world in 2006 I served 10 years on the Nebraska State Patrol from Ogallala to Omaha. I served in many capacities and in several divisions including Executive Protection (state version of Secret Service) where I had the privilege of working with Governors, Senators, celebrities and numerous other public officials including President Bush. I also served as an investigator in the Criminal Division where I investigated crimes such as homicides, bank robberies and embezzlement. I must say, the clientele in the financial world are much better. When you visit me in the office, look for the nice shadow box my wife had made for me showing my history on the patrol.
In 2006, after the birth of my son, I decided to make a career change and studied under one of the premiere estate planning firms in Nebraska, The Legacy Group. I studied the ins and outs of how to help my clients maximize what they have for retirement, minimize their tax burdens along the way, and pass their estate on to the next generation as most efficiently possible all while taking into consideration the variability of the market. I have used my experience from the patrol, combined it with my education and attention to detail to help my clients discover their full financial potential. In 2010 I was ready to venture out on my own and opened up an office in Broken Bow and started my own firm, Clang Financial. We now serve not only the great state of Nebraska but those in Colorado, Kansas and South Dakota.
I reside in Broken Bow with my wife, Stefanie, and three children. I welcome the opportunity to get to know you and I will be honored to have the privilege of being called your agent.
